My name is Terry Wilburt and I am a Gospel Rapper and songwriter, my stage name is The Valiant One although in the past I went by the name 5 Star General and The Chief. Music has been my life for 23 years and I've written over 1,000 songs and have recorded a number of mixtapes and Lp's. My most recent release is my 2026 LP, Forceful Advancement Prepared For War which Is coming June 21. I've faced many closed doors and been through a lot of adversity in my life while chasing my dream. I feel the things that I've been through ultimately makes me better as a man and as an artist. I've submitted many demos and mixtapes to record labels but have come up short so after a long time of doing that I've finally decided to do it myself. I believe if a dream is from God and no one else believe in you that doesn't mean your dream can't come to pass it just means you have to be determined and have a plan to win and never give up.
Music has given me something to live for something that's bigger than myself. Through my music I want to make my life better and make other people's life better. I feel I can do a lot of good and help people through their adverse situations when they hear my story. I believe the journey we take in life is not just for yourself but it's also for other people that you don't even know that have no hope but if they hear your story and hear how you made it you'll give them hope. Making music and waking up everyday to become better and doing something I've never done gives me motivation. Studying the bible has also helped me through my music journey because I know the things that I've been through most people would have given up along time ago. I love making music, I love chasing my dream and I hope that others will do the same then they will be able to do anything.
